Welcome to Crafty Creates!

I started Crafty Creates by Cindy because of my lifelong love of crafting! Ever since I can remember there has been some sort of craft going – usually more than one at a given time.

My mom and Grandma actually taught me at a young age what crafting was all about. We did all sorts of crafts together – embroidery, cross stitch, macrame, painting, ceramics, floral design, sewing, leather crafting – you name it we probably tried it at least once. And try as mom might – knitting… ah knitting. the rock in my shoe..sigh.. that just never stuck and I am soooo jealous of those of you who can.

The great thing about trying so many different crafts is the ability to find what you truly love. Even though crochet will ALWAYS be my favorite. Right now I’m enjoying painting – either on canvas or whatever I can find. I also purchased a Cricut recently. Now that is a seriously magical machine. I haven’t played with it as much as I would like – since you know it’s winter and what do you do in winter? Yup – crochet! But come warm weather – I’ll be tearing it up with the vinyls..
